One of the best trekking routes we can take in Menorca is the area of Ets Alocs-Penyal de sa Muntanya Mala, which consists of bordering the coast from Alocs al pie de la Montaña Mala. One way has a distance of 6 kilometers, which you'll be able to complete in 3 hours. It's difficulty level is low. During this trekking excursion you'll be able to enjoy the town of Ferreries, founded in the XVIII century by Jaime I. This trail borders the coast through same level terrains until reaching the Montaña Mala. It takes you through Cala Pilar (cove) and Playa del Mar, two beautiful stops that you must not miss out on during your holiday in Menorca.
On this route, you'll also pass next to important monuments as is the Iglesia de Ferreríes of the XVIII century; La Ermita Inmaculada Corazón de María, at the north of Ferrerías and the remains of the Colina de Santa Águeda fortress, as well as the remains of the prehistoric town de Son Mercer. |
